A typical Sunday roast dinner consisting of 4 roasties, some veggies, portion of meat, a yorkie and some gravy, contains around 800 calories. Bear in mind for most, myself included that would be a small portion. Add all the extra trimmings and you're easily over a thousand calories. That's without a sweet afterwards too.
But let's just say you can control yourself when it comes to your roasties, that's 800 calories. What would it take for the average person to burn off 800 calories? Here are a few ideas.
)Have 8-9 sessions under the sheets (partners permission may be required!). During sex men burn on average 100 calories, while women around 70. Try repeating that 8-9 times!
)Do 5 hours of ironing. Most of us blokes hate doing it for 5 minutes, let alone 5 hours.
)4-5 hours of cooking. An hour of cooking would burn around 150-200 calories, so either you cook for a living or you purposely spend 5 hours cooking you Sunday roast so you deserve the calories.
)Wash your car, then head to the neighbours houses and wash another 4. It takes 5 car washes by hand to burn off just over 800 calories.
)Do all of your house hold chores 3.7 times over. Here's the breakdown: · Sweeping x 10 minutes = 37 calories · Vacuuming x 10 minutes = 37 calories · Ironing x 20 minutes = 50 calories · Mopping x 20 minutes = 42 calories · Making beds x 10 minutes = 23 calories · Washing dishes x 10minutes = 26 calories · Total time: 1hr 10 minutes = 215 calories (800/215 = 3.7 hours)
)Complete around 700 push-ups for the average man, closer to 800-900 for the average woman. Good luck!
)A 25 mile bike ride averaging around 12mph. Sunday roast well-deserved.
)Constantly texting can burn 40 calories per hour, that'll keep the kids busy. While mum banging your head against the wall for an hour will get you around 150 calories and a sore head.
